Many years since I visited The Bell. No longer a tired village pub, there has been a very stylish upgrade with extension added giving Hampton Poyle a lovely oldie world pub and hotel. Siting outside on a lovely summers day we ordered drinks and lunch my wife deciding on the lamb and I the grilled prawns, the service was friendly and efficient and it was not long before we were enjoying our meal, the lamb was excellent and one would have to travel a long way to find better grilled prawns, all washed down with a first class pint of locally brewed ale. We will return.

Went for a wedding and what superb choice of venue. The place is country smart and extremely well done. Our room was great, well furnished and comfortable.

Food was excellent, and for saying it was for 70 people it was superb. I would love to go and try their normal menu.

Particular praise must go to the staff who were faultless.

It's a great place - go!

Beautiful large room and Bathroom. We stayed in room 1. Excellent air flow, beautiful Scandinavian/New England feel to the room ( probably the shutters). Excellent service. Everyone kind and thoughtful. Food was delicious. Prawns cooked to perfection served with flat bread and tasty dips. A marvellous thing called a gentleman's lunch - cold rare roast beef served almost like carpaccio, with string fries and a elegant salad. Lovely small bottles of proscecco which made the evening go with a swing. Recommend highly!

My wife and I have eaten here a number of times and really enjoy each experience. The regular menu remains static most of the time and is full of standard fare which you would expect like steaks, fish and homemade pizzas but all made and presented really well. What makes the difference are the daily specials which are normally excellent and take advantage of seasonal and local ingredients. Not the cheapest Restaurant in the area but the service, food and atmosphere make it great value.
